Heal My Hurt

This morning, Pastor Jason Strand gives this week’s message called, “Heal my Hurt”.


If you’ve been wounded or hurt, I want to show you three ways, from Joseph’s story, how we can allow God to heal our hurt.

o “How could I sin against God?” Genesis 39:9

o “He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin.” Hebrews 11:25


• 2 nd : Reveal it.

o “Joseph wept so loudly that his sobs could be heard throughout the palace. ‘I am Joseph’ he told his brothers. ‘Come close to me, I’ve waited twenty years for this moment, come close to me so that I can touch you; I am your brother whom you sold into Egypt.” Genesis 45:4

o “Joseph kissed each of his brothers and wept over them and they began talking freely with him.” Genesis 45:15

o You need to reveal it to heal it.


• 3 rd : Release it

o “Don’t be angry with yourselves that you sold me into slavery because it was God who sent me here to preserve lives…God has sent me here to keep you and your families alive. God made me a counselor to Pharoah, ruler over all of Egypt.” Genesis 50:19

o “What you meant for evil, God meant for good to save many lives.” Genesis 50:20

o “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

o “Now the Jordan was at flood stage during the harvest. Yet, as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the
